I first had cardamom in my coffee while travelling in Sri Lanka and I love the sweet aromatic taste of this spice. It brings a gorgeous warmth and sweetness to coffee and to apricots.

Ingredients

  • Coffee beans ground – for one or more shots of espresso
  • 5 cardamom pods – split and seeds removed – ground in a mortar and pestle

Instructions

Pack your coffee basket with the ground coffee and add a sprinkle of cardamom

Make your espresso as usual

Enjoy the sweet spiced coffee with apricots or naked ginger
